LET COHBER BE YOUR MAILING RESOURCE

Keep Postage Budgets in Line -  Consider the Shape of Things to Come!

May 14th, The U.S. Postal Service will implement new changes to prices, fees and classifications for all classes of mail. Some classifications have seen postage rates increase in excess of 40%.  In addition to postage hikes, the USPS has changed the way First Class mail pieces are classified.

Currently a 2 oz. letter, large envelope or small parcel would all be charged the same postage rate of .63 each.  Under the new standards the letter would decline in price to .58, the large envelope would require .97 postage and the parcel 1.30 postage. The new postage rate for this 2 oz. parcel is an increase of 206%! Letter size pieces prepared to meet automation requirements receive the best postage rates as they are more cost efficient for the Post Office to process.

We understand the changes and can help you develop your mail piece with shape in mind to minimize the postage impact.
