Business Development Specialist

The Business Development function is responsible for bringing strategic prospects to Cohber that meet the specific strategic account profile with contractual and reoccurring needs for Cohber’s integrated marketing communications services.  Business Development is responsible for researching and developing new prospects that meet the profile of a “strategic account”, nurturing these strategic customers to a needs analysis and contract proposal meeting, and then leading their conversion into solid reoccurring customers that will deliver long-term, sustainable value to the organization:

     Implementation of strategic customer sales initiatives that meets the minimum Cohber Strategic Account Profile specifications.

     Conversion of strategic customers to reoccurring “program(s)” (customers that operate off of an annual contract).

     Leadership and execution of all lead-to-contract marketing and sales activities necessary to meet strategic goals and objectives.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

Experience

  • BA/BS in marketing, business administration or a related field
  • Sales experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Proven track record for delivering results
  • Strong knowledge of cross-media communications
  • An established base of marketing contacts (i.e., clients, partners, suppliers, peers)
  • Vertical experience in Non-Profit, Higher Ed, and/or Automotive preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Able to set strategic direction and guide successful plan implementation.
  • Understanding of CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, etc.
  • Computer skills-ability to use word, excel, e-mail, etc.
  • Proficient in presentations skills including powerpoint.
  • USPS regulations, data analytics, commercial print
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiating and influencing abilities
  • A strong network of other marketing and/or business professionals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit challenged by the mission to help to grow a company.
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen.
  • Ability to see the “big picture” and prioritize appropriately
